HOW IT ALL BEGAN. THE STORY OF HEINZ BAUER MANUFAKT
In 1960 Heinz and Margot Bauer founded the traditional Swabian company Heinz Bauer Manufakt. Even then, they developed their own jacket collections and produced them in their own factory. The foundation of passion for artistic craftsmanship was laid.
"IF SOMEONE HAD TOLD US THAT AT THE BEGINNING, WE WOULDN'T HAVE REALLY DARED TO DREAM"
Jochen Bauer, CEO
FROM FABRIC TO LEATHER
At the beginning, the focus was on the production of jackets and coats made of Loden and Cashmere. With the entry of the second generation by Jochen Bauer, the know-how was expanded to leather garments.

Leather jackets by Heinz Bauer Manufakt are timeless beauties. Due to their flawless and excellent workmanship, they have become real classics. Perforated elements, quilting or concise shoulder and elbow pads give the jackets a contemporary look. Innovations down to the smallest detail, pleasant wearing comfort and the choice of exclusive types of leather give each model an individual character.
It is the attention to detail that creates masterpieces of craftsmanship from jackets and materials. The wind deflector integrated in the collar is an essential detail of most models. It can be easily folded up if necessary. All seams, especially those of the classic diamond shapes, are placed with precision. Outstanding expertise is also required for manufacturing the jacket lining, whether with 60s Formula 1 Heritage Print or lined with high-quality cashmere.
It is thanks to the passion of Jochen Bauer who has developed the first original convertible jacket in 1997, born from his love of convertible car driving thatan entire collection with innovative details was created from it.
In addition to innovation and quality, sustainability is also one of the most important values for Heinz Bauer Manufakt. From the selection of exclusive materials to the highly qualified employees and all production steps, the entire value chain is in Germany. Thanks to this harmonious cooperation, jackets by Heinz Bauer Manufakt become a faithful companion for a lifetime.
